Built something this weekend that I genuinely wished existed simply: The Typewriter: it is a cozy, atmospheric web typewriter for people who just want to write without the noise. Also this was my first time using any vibe coding tool and I had to break my head over it but I got over it and now we will be building more cool stuff simply for the love of the craft hehe. (I am putting my Claude subscription to good use and I absolutely love it!) You can open it, start typing, and your words land on warm lamp-lit paper. Ink imperfections, soft typewriter sounds, a paper roll that scrolls as you go. No accounts, no cloud, no distractions and everything saves locally in your browser. A few things it does: — Type and watch the page roll up as you fill it — Press Esc for a fresh sheet — Shred a page if it doesn't deserve to exist — End a session to see your tally — time, words, characters, pages — and export as a PDF — A little "closet" to browse and revisit past sessions As someone who's spent way too many hours writing in tabs with seventeen other tabs open, I wanted something that felt like a small space you come back to to feel like a medieval writer working on your typewriter, and not just a tool. Cleared Round I of III at Capital IQ — First Step Finance's Case Conclave. Honestly didn't expect to be here.
