I had a bit of a public failure recently. 600+ hands raised wanted to buy a product I was building. Textbook worthy gtm strategy fired up. Group feedback calls with interested users. Then, 3 days before launch I got a call from my business partner telling me it is basically illegal. It was built to help Catholic teams have improved go to market strategies and the Catholicity of it violated privacy laws. Not because it was bad by nature, but since others could use it for harm laws were made against it. So on launch day, instead of informing hundreds of hand raisers they wanted was ready I told them we had to pull the plug. Giving love to a vision, then trashing it is frustrating, sad and a little embarrassing. However, If this is my cross, I won the lottery. Please don't pity me and my first world problems. I haven't met anyone who has trust in God's will and isn't open to failure. Discerning what's next. Ultimately, I want my own product to drive a ridiculous amount of traffic to. Meanwhile, at X Cathedra we are helping my consulting clients with their growth. And for that email list of 600 Catholics who are hungry for business growth? I went to my go to vendors/services and negotiated discounts for list to use. Here's a peak at the first two I am sharing: Email 1: 25% off my #1 ad vendor that no one seems to be using. Just referred a client last week and they got 470 leads in 24 hours. Email 2: $203 off a service that enriches your email list to get their approximate wealth status.
