🚀 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 — 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈’𝐦 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 .𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞. I’ve just released 𝐯𝟏.𝟎 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 .𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐮𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬, built around common problems developers encounter across .NET projects: 🔹 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧.𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐭.𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 — practical helpers for everyday .NET development 🔹 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧.𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐭.𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — focused validation for common application input 🔹 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧.𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐭.𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 — helpers for passwords, hashing, tokens, and secure randomness 🔹 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧.𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐭.𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 — realistic, strongly typed, and reproducible test data This is 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝟏.𝟎. I’ll continue improving the packages gradually based on real-world usage, feedback, and community suggestions. 📦 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬: https://lnkd.in/gFqzvnqR 📝 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫: https://lnkd.in/gW85ykYA 📬 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 .𝐍𝐄𝐓, 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐀𝐈 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲? 𝐀 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫. I understood. They wanted to save money. A few weeks later, they came back. The cheaper option had turned into a much bigger problem — unfinished work, technical issues, and lost time. By then, the cost wasn't just about development. They had already lost money and valuable time. They asked me if I could take over. I reviewed the project, fixed the issues, completed the missing parts, and got it back on track. That experience reinforced something I've learned many times throughout my career: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭. When you hire a developer, you're not only paying for hours of coding. You're paying for: → Experience → Technical decisions → Code quality → Reliability → Problem-solving → Accountability I've lost opportunities because my quote wasn't the cheapest. That's okay. I would rather compete on 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 than on price. Because sometimes saving $𝟓𝟎𝟎 today can cost you 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 tomorrow. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫, 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤. Have you ever chosen the cheaper option and regretted it later? 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬. 👇 #SoftwareEngineering #SoftwareArchitecture #Freelancing #ClientWork #SoftwareDevelopment #EngineeringLeadership #ProfessionalGrowth #TechCareer

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧—𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞. A few days ago, I had the opportunity to work on a .𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝟖 application after the client found me here on 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝𝐈𝐧. The original developer was no longer available, and the application had become noticeably slow. The client needed someone to understand the existing codebase, identify the bottlenecks, and improve performance. After reviewing the project, I found several common issues: ⇢ Large datasets were being loaded without proper server-side pagination. ⇢ Many queries retrieved entire entities instead of using efficient 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. ⇢ Several database queries could be optimized to reduce unnecessary data retrieval and improve response times. The client mentioned that AI tools had been used extensively during development. I use AI every day myself, and I believe it's a fantastic productivity tool. However, AI delivers the best results when it's combined with solid software engineering principles and experience. The engagement was initially planned for one week, but after seeing the performance improvements, the client decided to extend the collaboration to include new features and an upgrade from .𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝟖 𝐭𝐨 .𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝟏𝟎. One thing this experience reinforced is that 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬. It also reminded me that while LinkedIn certainly has its share of spam and fake messages, it's also where genuine clients look for experienced professionals who can solve real business challenges. Have you ever inherited a codebase that looked simple at first but turned out to have deeper performance issues? #dotnet #dotnet10 #aspnetcore #blazor #entityframework #softwareengineering #performance #cleanarchitecture #freelance #consulting #linkedin
