Most people search for side hustle ideas and get the same recycled list. Dropshipping. Freelancing. Print on demand.
I built a mega ChatGPT prompt that goes much deeper than that and found 333 profitable ideas as a result.
The PROMPT
I want you to act as a top-tier business strategist, market analyst, solopreneur coach, and creative side-hustle ideation expert. Your goal is to help me find highly profitable, low-risk, scalable, and sustainable side hustle opportunities.
Use your expertise in market trends, consumer behavior, demand gaps, niche monetization, and digital-first opportunities to generate ideas that are actionable, innovative, and realistic for someone getting started today.
Follow this structure:
Give me a curated list of 20 highly profitable and personalized side hustle ideas.
For each idea, include:
1. Name of the side hustle
2. Why this idea is profitable (explain simply and directly)
3. Profit potential (Low/Medium/High)
4. Time commitment (Flexible/Part-time/Full-time)
5. Skills it required
6. Startup requirements (budget, tools, resources)
7. Target market or audience
8. Unique angle or differentiator
9. Whether it’s scalable or passive
10. Short-term vs long-term earning potential
11. Keep the ideas modern, in-demand, and low saturation.
The output should be in a tabular format.

Everyone talks about prompt engineering. Almost nobody talks about what has to happen before you write the first prompt.
That missing skill is Problem Shaping With AI.
It's the difference between using AI as a search engine and using it as a genuine thought partner.
Problem Shaping works through three pillars.
1. The first is Deconstruction. Before you type anything, you break your big, vague problem into smaller, specific ones. A question like "how do we improve innovation?" gets pulled apart into what innovation actually means in this context, what evidence confirms the problem exists, and which team or function is most affected. Only then do you approach the AI.
2. The second is Hypothesis-Driven Chat. Instead of asking AI for the answer, you bring a hypothesis and ask it to help you test, challenge, and refine it. You seek counterpoints, analogies, and edge cases. The AI stops being an answer machine and becomes a thinking partner that sharpens your reasoning.
3. The third is Iterative Refinement. Each response from the AI reveals a gap or an angle you hadn't considered. You reflect, reframe the question, and go again. With each cycle, the output becomes more specific and more useful.
This is not prompt engineering alone, and it is not just contextualization. It requires critical thinking from the human side. Without that, the loop never improves.

This AI Workflow Story features William Leroux, a physical education student, a competitive badminton player, and the voice behind BeBetter and The Newsletter Growth Lab.
He uses it to understand people better.
Every week, he feeds Claude hundreds of comments, DM conversations, and audience responses, not to generate posts, but to uncover the real struggles, goals, and objections hiding inside them. Those insights shape everything that follows: his content, outreach, offers, and sales conversations.
The result is a simple but powerful feedback loop. Every conversation makes the next piece of content more relevant, every objection improves the next offer, and every interaction helps Claude build a deeper understanding of his audience.
It’s a system that helped him grow from 0 to 2,000 Substack subscribers in just eight months while balancing full-time studies and competitive athletics.
In this story, he shares how he turns audience conversations into a living knowledge base, why he believes most writers use AI the wrong way, and why the future of newsletter growth isn’t about publishing more—it’s about understanding your readers better than anyone else.
If you’ve been using AI as a writing assistant, this story might change how you think about its real value.

Joe shares a workflow that doesn’t use AI to replace thinking, but to sharpen it. Instead of asking AI to write for him, he uses it to catch where his voice drifts, uncover patterns hidden in years of notes, and become more aware of how he communicates.
If you’ve only thought of AI as a writing assistant, this conversation might completely change the way you use it.
