The best ads don’t always start with a product. Sometimes, they start with a problem you already know. Every Indian family knows what happens when the monsoon brings seelan into the house. The walls start showing it. The paint starts peeling. And slowly, your home just doesn’t feel the same anymore. That’s what I liked about this Adani Cement film. In a category where communication often starts with strength and product features, this one takes a completely different route. It makes you understand why you need the product before it tells you what the product does. And that, to me, is the real disruption. Not being different just for the sake of being different. Changing the way a category tells its story. By the time the product comes in, the emotion has already landed - because you’re no longer thinking about cement. You’re thinking about protecting your home. Even a category as functional as cement can create communication people actually remember. “Barish ghar ke andar nahi, bahar achhi lagti hai.” Adani Cement’s innovative water-repellent range. Seelan kahin aapko ghar se beghar na kar de.

One thing I've learned working in growth marketing is that real growth isn't about growing fast. It's about giving people one good experience, then another, and then another. Think of it like stacking LEGO blocks. One block might not look like much, but if you keep adding the right blocks every single day, eventually you build something too large to ignore. You don't stack them for ten years just to make a headline. You do it to make a slope. That's probably why this milestone caught my attention. Spinny’s parent company, Valuedrive Technologies, just converted into a public limited company. But the number that surprised me the most was the revenue - ₹3,730 crore in FY24 to ₹4,657 crore in FY25, and is now tracking toward ₹6,000 crore in FY26 This translates to a 3-year CAGR of ~27%. This rate of growth for such behemoth revenues is beyond impressive. That's not a spike, that's a slope. And slopes like that don't happen by accident. As someone who works in growth, it's a useful reminder that the strongest businesses are rarely built through one big breakthrough. They're built through hundreds of small decisions that compound over time.

The strongest brands don't always build new associations. Sometimes they rediscover the ones they already own. They started with the same question. Would Fardeen Khan mean anything to people who didn't grow up watching him? So they spoke to consumers instead of making assumptions. One thing stood out. When people thought of Provogue, Fardeen was still the first name they connected with the brand. That recall hadn't faded. At the same time, they saw another trend. People love comeback stories. You see it everywhere. Actors returning through OTT. Creators reinventing themselves. Brands finding a new voice. You don't need nostalgia to enjoy a comeback. You just need a good story. That made the decision much simpler. For people who knew Provogue, it felt familiar. For younger audiences, it wasn't about looking back. It was about discovering a brand that was entering a new chapter. Fardeen's comeback became the perfect way to tell Provogue (India) Private Limited comeback. Kudos to Shivangi and the team at Chord : A 1702 Network Agency 1702 Digital Network for making this happen.

I love when brands make the audience do a little bit of the work. Not in a confusing way. In a curious way. The Anu Malik teaser that ends with him saying “Lekin” had everyone trying to crack the code. I saw theories ranging from a comeback single to a new TV show. The actual reveal? Honestly, much smarter. #Dabur Pudin Hara took a line we've all heard countless times "Aag laga di!" and turned it into a campaign around acidity and heartburn after indulging in our favourite food. That's such an interesting creative choice. Instead of creating a brand-new mnemonic, they borrowed one that already existed in pop culture and gave it a new meaning. Simple. Unexpected. And incredibly memorable. Dabur India Limited #DaburPudinHara #BrandStorytelling #CreativeThinking #ContentMarketing

Marketing has convinced us we need protein water, AI toothbrushes, and smart fridges. Meanwhile nobody told me you can order plywood on an app. I genuinely thought if the carpenter said, "Sir, plywood khatam ho gaya," the only option was to cancel my meetings, fight Bengaluru traffic, and become a part time supplier. Turns out... no. There's an app called HomeRun that delivers construction and hardware materials too. Not groceries. Not food. Actual plywood, wires, paints and more. That was my "wait... this is a thing?" moment. Honestly, this feels like one of those products that solves a real problem but most people don't even know exists. Because when the carpenter is standing in your living room waiting for one missing sheet of plywood, every minute feels expensive. HomeRun gets construction materials delivered in under 60 minutes, with no minimum order quantity and brand authenticated products. Kaam rukna nahi chahiye. Material HomeRun kar do. #BangaloreLife #HomeRun #DidYouKnow #ConstructionOnDemand #DeliveredIn60Minutes #BangaloreHomes
