I just hit 𝟮𝟭,𝟲𝟬𝟭 search appearances on LinkedIn 🥳 That’s 21,601 times someone searched for something and MY profile showed up. Most people treat LinkedIn like a digital CV. I treat it like a search engine I’m trying to rank on. Here’s exactly how I did it 👇 1. I stopped writing for recruiters.
→ I started writing for the people I actually wanted to attract. → Founders.
→ Business owners.
→ Decision-makers. Because the right audience beats a big audience every time. 2. I post consistently (even when engagement is low) → LinkedIn’s algorithm rewards consistency over virality → Every post is indexed by search engines → Even a “low-performing” post with 50 views? That’s 50 more people who saw my name. 3. I use keywords naturally in my posts → I don’t stuff keywords awkwardly → I just talk about: product launches, go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, customer insights → The algorithm picks up on patterns and starts showing me in relevant searches 4. I engage with others in my niche → When I comment on product marketing posts, LinkedIn associates my profile with those topics → The more I engage, the more I get recommended in “People you may know” and search results 5. I keep my profile complete → Featured section filled out → About section keyword-rich but readable → Experience section tells a story (not just job duties) The result? → 21,000+ search appearances → Clients and collaborations I didn’t even apply for → A personal brand that’s working even when I’m offline. If you want to grow on LinkedIn, stop treating it like social media. Start treating it like SEO. What’s your search appearance count? Drop it in the comments. I’m curious P.S You’re not posting for engagement. You’re posting to be found when it matters most. LinkedIn rewards the people who show up not the people who show off. And if your company is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can bridge the gap between what your product does and why customers should care… My DMs are wide open 😌❤️ Repost and let’s connect Your Linkedin Romeo, Ibukun Ogunsola 🌹
