I got SO tired of regenerating AI images to fix one tiny thing that I started building the fix myself.
Here is the loop that broke me.
You ask AI for a marketing visual. It comes back 90% right. Composition works, style is on brand. And then the stat reads 47% when your article clearly says 43%.
No problem, you think. I will just ask it to fix the one number.
Oh, sweet summer child.
• attempt 1: stat fixed, the whole composition changed
• attempt 2: composition back, the brand color went rogue
• attempt 3: color back, the logo slid into the wrong corner
• attempt 4: logo back, and a fresh typo that was not there a minute ago
• attempt 5: you have forgotten the original stat entirely, and you are now just begging for your first layout back!
By try 9 you are bargaining with this thing like it is a freelancer who hears 90% of the brief and confidently ignores the rest.
The real problem is that AI image output is flat. Everything fuses into one layer, so there is:
• no text layer to edit
• no logo layer to nudge
• no number you can change without redoing the whole picture

I checked my LinkedIn Social Selling Index this week and said WOW out loud.

5 years ago it was 15. I remember the exact number because it felt like a bad school grade.
Here is what LinkedIn brought me over these 5 years:
• freelance clients who stayed for years
• mentees who found me through my posts
• consulting requests I never pitched for
• the job I have right now
From the outside it probably looks like chaotic luck. But underneath there is a boring system, and the boring system is a CRM.
I keep my real network in folk CRM (https://lnkd.in/dXMxEWTJ). It is a very simple and easy-to-use CRM, ideal for private entrepreneurs (like myself) and small businesses.
Putting real people into a CRM sounds soooo cold. I know. In practice it is how I remember the post someone wrote in March and the job change they mentioned in passing, instead of pretending my memory works.
What lives in my folk:
• people I add straight from LinkedIn. I click add to folk right on someone's profile, and every detail lands in my CRM on its own
• people who can help with my current professional goal, with advice or an intro
• a note after every meaningful interaction, on LinkedIn or outside it, so the history is written down and my head stays free
• a warm list for emergencies. If I urgently needed a new client or a new employer, I would know exactly who to write to and what we talked about last time
• room to grow. When I am ready to scale outreach, I can use folk’s automation and AI features.
Quick reality check: if your career had an emergency tomorrow, could you open a list of people who actually know you, with context next to every name? (Because my old method was scrolling DMs and whispering please remember me. It did not scale.)

There is a serious problem with image generation today.
You ask for a visual for your B2B blog post, and back comes a stunning illustration of some guy at a desk. Or a dreamy office that looks like every other AI office that has ever existed.
Gorgeous and completely useless. Goes straight to the graveyard.
Here is what NEVER turns up:
→ The actual stat from my article, written out as text I can read instead of alphabet soup.
→ A layout that sits next to my other blog visuals without looking like it crashed in from a totally different website.
→ The one tiny thing I wanted fixed, fixed, while everything else stays put.
Took me waaay too long to clock what was going on. Nano Banana, ChatGPT, Midjourney are good at making art, but I kept asking them for informative images (because that is what I really need in my B2B visuals).
And that is the whole mismatch. These tools were built to create art. None of them was built for informative B2B images, where the words have to be right and the thing has to look like it belongs on your blog/corporate LinkedIn page.
So before you fight the prompt for the 10th time, ask whether you are using an art tool for an information job.

Together with my friend Yuliia Kniazieva, we attended the DOU Marketing Meetup, and one idea has stayed with me ever since.
We all learn inside our own bubble. B2B marketers read about B2B, HR marketers learn from other HR marketers. That feels natural, because the tricks that work in FMCG or B2C seem like a different world, so we never look there.
And that's exactly where the most interesting ideas are hiding.
The moment you borrow something from an industry nobody in your niche is watching, you end up doing what none of your competitors are doing.
The best example was from Vasyl Severenchuk and N-iX. They built their HR marketing on FMCG playbooks, and it worked because nobody in HR was thinking that way.
So here's what I keep asking myself: which industry is solving a problem you also have, just in a way you'd never think to look at?
That's usually where the real wow effect comes from.

Do you trust influencers when they say they love something?
I've seen it a million times. Someone holds up a product, swears it changed their life, and you can just TELL they opened it that morning. I scroll right past now. We all do!
So when something actually breaks through that, I notice. And today something did.
I read about one Cure Media campaign for INTERSPORT Sweden, and something in my chest just went soft. (The case study is here: https://lnkd.in/dWjjzpHi)
They took running creators and sat them down with real running coaches. Like actual coaching! How to run better, how to pick a shoe that fits the way your body actually moves.
And THEN they let each creator go make running guides for their own people, meeting them right where they were starting from. First-timers talking to first-timers, marathoners talking to marathoners.
Nobody was faking it. Each creator had something real to give because someone took the time to give it to THEM first. I love that so much! 🥹
It made me think about how rare it feels to watch a creator and actually believe they mean it. And how low we've all let the bar drop on what sincerity even looks like online these days.
So before your next creator brief, here's what's worth checking: are you working with creators who could actually mean it?

I keep thinking about that stat: 70% of marketers say marketing has changed more in the past 3 years than in the 50 before that.
More change in 3 years than in HALF A CENTURY.
• 25.7% say their workload went up significantly this year
• 47.4% say it went up moderately
• under 5% saw any decrease
So almost 3 in 4 marketers are doing more than they were a year ago, while the ground keeps shifting under them. That is a proper recipe for burnout.
Everyone points to AI as the rescue. But most companies are nowhere near the maturity where AI actually lifts work off your plate. The tools sit half-adopted while the to-do list grows.

I have been in content marketing for years and I had NO idea what blog+LinkedIn visuals actually cost.
