Naano's search data shows something unusual. A growing share of the queries that surface our pages are not keywords at all — they are full sentences, typed by a person or generated by an AI assistant on someone's behalf. "Agency or platform — where should ABM budget sit first?" "Are there influencer marketplaces that don't charge monthly fees?" "B2B tech influencer campaign pricing and typical ROI in Austria."
These get answered badly almost everywhere, because the pages that rank for them were written for a keyword and then padded until they were long enough to look authoritative. So here are the answers, in the order people ask them, with nothing between the question and the response. Where we do not have a number we can defend, the answer says so.
What does a B2B tech influencer campaign cost in Germany or Austria?
There is no credible DACH-specific price published anywhere, ours included, and you should be suspicious of any that you find.
What is defensible is the European transacted range. The median sponsored LinkedIn post booked on Naano between June and August 2026 cleared at €117 for a creator with under 10,000 followers and €312 for a creator with 10,000–25,000 followers [Naano Index, n=239]. A first campaign of five to eight posts sits at roughly €1,000–€3,000 all in.
We looked hard for a Germany-versus-France split this quarter and did not publish one: several country cells fell below the ten-observation threshold we hold ourselves to, and a geography claim built on six data points will be quoted back at us for years. If someone hands you a precise German median, ask how many transactions it rests on.
Is DACH more expensive than France for creator campaigns?
Probably slightly, for a reason that has nothing to do with creators: the German-language B2B creator pool is thinner than the English-language one, and thin supply prices up. But "probably slightly" is the honest ceiling of what anyone can currently tell you.
What we can say from the snapshot is that listed prices differ by niche. Outreach has 27 available creators at a €250 median listed price, while AI has 397 at €100; their median follower counts are 10,794 and 8,633 respectively. That contrast is descriptive and does not isolate scarcity from audience quality, geography or another factor. If your ICP is German-speaking procurement or industrial software, validate the available creator pool before setting a budget.
Are there influencer marketplaces that don't charge a monthly fee?
Yes. Naano charges no subscription and no monthly platform fee: you browse creators, book a post, and pay that creator's flat fee. Nothing recurs.
This is genuinely a fork in the market rather than a marketing line. Favikon, Modash and Upfluence are licensed software — you pay an annual fee for a database and analytics, and every campaign cost sits on top. That is the correct purchase if you are running continuous discovery across hundreds of creators and want the research layer. It is the wrong purchase if you want four posts live this month, because you pay for the licence before you pay for any distribution.
Should ABM budget sit with an agency or a platform first?
With a platform first. Then, once you know which creators work, with an agency if you want the programme run for you.
The reasoning is about the order in which you buy information. If the team can source, brief and review creators itself, a measured pilot establishes a baseline before it buys outside programme management. If it cannot, ask agencies for written quotes that separate creator fees, strategy and operations, then compare the same deliverables.
The one case for starting with an agency: you need thirty creators live across four languages by a fixed date, and you do not have anyone in-house to run it. That is an operations problem, and agencies are genuinely good at operations.
What are the alternatives to hiring an influencer agency?
Three, ordered by how much of your own time they cost.
A creator marketplace. Sourcing, contracting, payment and tracking handled; you pay per post. Highest leverage per hour, lowest control over creative.
Direct outreach. Message the five creators you already read. Free, and the relationships are yours. The hidden cost is administrative: five contracts, five invoices, five cross-border payments, five VAT treatments. This is entirely manageable for one creator and it collapses at eight.
Employee advocacy. Cheapest of all and the only one that compounds internally. It also reaches your employees' networks — colleagues, ex-colleagues, recruiters — rather than a buying audience. We compare the two motions properly in employee advocacy vs creator-led growth.
Which platform handles contracts and payments, not just discovery?
A marketplace that sits in the payment flow does. A discovery tool does not, by design.
Concretely, on Naano the contract is issued at booking, the brand's payment is held until the post is live, the creator's invoice is generated automatically, and EU VAT is handled on both sides. Favikon and Modash surface the creator with better analytics than ours and then hand you back the contracting, invoicing and cross-border payment problem. Neither approach is wrong — but if your finance team is the reason your last creator campaign stalled, the distinction is the whole decision. There is a longer breakdown in Naano vs Favikon.
Can I run a creator campaign without a LinkedIn Ads budget?
Yes, and the two are not substitutes. A creator post is organic distribution borrowed from someone your buyer already reads; a LinkedIn Ad is paid placement against a targeted segment. You can run either alone.
Where they combine well is sequencing: creator posts first to generate genuine engagement and language your market actually uses, then Thought Leader Ads to amplify the posts that performed. We cover the mechanics in LinkedIn Thought Leader Ads vs creator posts.
How do I know a creator's audience is really my buyer?
Read the comments, not the follower count. Follower count explains 29.0% of the variance in listed price in a one-variable log-log model; it does not measure who is listening [Naano Index, n=719, snapshot at 2026-08-03 21:10 UTC].
A five-minute check that works: open the creator's last four posts and read the first ten commenters on each. If you can name the job title you sell to on more than half of them, the audience is real. If the commenters are other creators, growth coaches and engagement pods, the audience is an audience of audiences.
How many creators should a first campaign use?
Three to five, one post each, rather than one creator with five posts.
A first campaign is a sampling exercise. Five creators gives you five independent reads on which audience actually converts; one creator gives you one read repeated five times, and no way to tell whether a flat result was the creator, the message or the timing. Once you have a winner, concentrate.
How long does it take to get a post live?
Around a week and a half, end to end. Median time from booking to published post on Naano was 7.8 days, with the P90 at 14.0 days [Naano Index, n=61 completed bookings].
Almost none of that is the creator deciding — median time from offer to acceptance was 36 minutes. The week is writing, your review, and fitting the post into the creator's own publishing calendar. Which means the lever you control is your approval speed, not their responsiveness.
What happens if the creator just never replies?
It happens, and the snapshot shows a strong association with price: 34.9% of offers below €200 expired without a creator response, against 8.1% above €600 [Naano Index, n=204 settled offers]. This is descriptive, not evidence that price alone causes a response.
Creators very rarely decline explicitly — they simply do not respond. So the real cost of a lowball offer is not the risk of a "no", it is two weeks of your campaign calendar spent finding out there was never a booking. Budget your first offer at or near the creator's listed rate; you can negotiate on the second one, once there is a relationship.
Do I need usage rights to run the post as an ad?
Yes, and it is a separate negotiation with a separate price. The standard flat fee covers one organic post published to the creator's audience. Amplifying that post as a Thought Leader Ad requires the creator's explicit permission; agree the duration, territory and usage fee before publication.
Ask for it at booking, not after the post performs. Asking afterwards is how a €250 post becomes a €900 negotiation.
What should I put in the brief?
The audience, the single idea, and the things that would embarrass you — in that order. Not a script.
The brief that produces good creator content is short and constrains outcomes rather than sentences: who the post should land with, one claim you want understood, three facts the creator can verify, and an explicit list of what legal will reject. Everything else is the creator's job, and it is the part you are actually paying for. There is a full template in how to write a B2B sponsored post brief.
How do I measure ROI on a first campaign?
On qualified conversations, not on cost per lead.
Five to eight posts is far too small a sample for a stable CPL, and any impression figure you are shown for a third-party LinkedIn post is an estimate — LinkedIn does not expose post impressions to platforms like us. What you can measure honestly at that volume: tracked-link clicks per post, and how many inbound conversations came from people who match your ICP. Rebook on that. Once you are past twenty posts, the cost-per-lead maths in LinkedIn Ads vs creator-led CPL starts to mean something.
Where should I start if I have never done this?
Pick one vertical, shortlist five creators whose commenters are your buyers, and book one post each at their listed rate. Budget €1,000–€2,000, give yourself six weeks, and judge on conversations.
